Thank you for supporting the carnival in September. A BIG, GIGANTIC “THANK YOU” goes to our PTA and all the volunteers who helped put on the BEST carnival ever! They are amazing! Your support is invaluable!
Orem Elementary has been chosen to be the “model school” for Steve James’concert, on October 13, 2009, during the State’s Safe and Free Drug Conference. This is a great honor for our school. At the concert, there will be in attendance National and State representatives as well as local leaders. The media will also be present, so please be sure to sign and return the media release form your child will bring home the first week in October. Steve James will be at our school early in the day (Oct. 13th) for an assembly. The evening concert will be at our own Mountain View High School at 7:00pm. We are honored to be chosen as the “model school,” and hope you will be able to attend this extraordinary family concert.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on October 7th and 8th. Both of those days will be
“common days” which means ALL students will come to school from 8:00am - 2:15pm. The teachers will be available anytime between 3:15–7:15pm Wednesday and Thursday. The Book Fair will also be the same week, beginning Tuesday and ending Thursday evening.
Remember to invite your children to walk to school on Wednesday (Oct. 7th) as part of
our school’s “Walk to School Day.”
